Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
01About these terms
These terms apply to every coaching service you buy from Elliot Greenberger LLC (“I,” “me”). You accept them when you check the terms box at checkout and complete your purchase.
They cover two offers:
- Ongoing 1:1 Coaching is a monthly subscription. It is covered in Section 3.
- Story Sprint is a one-time program. It is covered in Section 4.
All other sections apply to both. If anything in a written proposal or email from me conflicts with these terms, these terms apply unless we both agree otherwise in writing.
02What coaching is (and isn't)
Coaching with me helps senior leaders define their purpose, declare a clear story, and decide their next moves. It is a collaborative partnership: I bring structure, questions, frameworks, and accountability, and you bring honesty, engagement, and the real decisions you are facing.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or a job-placement service. I do not guarantee any particular outcome, such as a new role, promotion, or income level. If something comes up that needs a different kind of professional support, I will say so.
03Ongoing 1:1 Coaching
Ongoing coaching is month-to-month, with no minimum term. Most clients see the strongest results over six months or more, but you can stop whenever you choose.
What's included
- Up to two 60-minute 1:1 sessions per billing month
- Access to group coaching calls
- Text and email support between sessions
- Your private Notion workspace
Your price is shown at checkout. Your monthly fee pays for access and support during that billing month. It is not a per-session charge.
Your billing month
Your first payment is charged at checkout, and that day starts your first billing month. You are then charged automatically on the same date each month. If that date doesn't exist in a given month, such as the 31st, you are charged on the last day of that month.
Each payment covers the billing month that follows it. For example, if you sign up on October 15, your first billing month runs October 15 to November 14, and your next charge is November 15.
Using your sessions
- Rollover. You may roll one unused session into the next billing month. A rolled session must be used during that month and can't roll again. You can hold only one rolled session at a time.
- Booking ahead. You may book a session that belongs to your next billing month before that month starts. If you do, you are committing to that month and will be billed for it.
- Unused sessions expire at the end of the billing month, except for the one rollover above. Unused sessions are not refunded or credited when you cancel.
Cancelling or pausing
- You can cancel at any time before your next billing date, through your billing portal link or by email or text to me. Cancellation stops future charges. You keep access through the end of the billing month you have already paid for.
- To pause, let me know before your next billing date. I will end your current subscription, and when you are ready to restart, I will send you a new signup link. A new billing month begins on the day you restart.
- Payments are non-refundable once a billing month has started.
04Story Sprint
The Story Sprint is a one-time program paid in full at checkout. It does not renew, and you will not be charged again unless you choose to continue into Ongoing 1:1 Coaching.
What's included
- One live group session of about two hours, held on the date shown on the Sprint page
- Two 60-minute 1:1 sessions, to be booked and used within the window shown on the Sprint page
- Access to your private Notion workspace for the length of the Sprint
The 1:1 sessions don't roll over past the Sprint window. Unused sessions expire and are not refunded.
If you can't attend the group session
The group session is the core of the Sprint, so please plan to attend live. If you miss it, you can still use your two 1:1 sessions, and I will share the session materials with you. If a future Sprint cohort has space, you may join its group session instead, at no extra cost.
Refunds and transfers
- 14 or more days before the group session: you can cancel for a full refund.
- Less than 14 days before the group session: no refund. You may transfer your place once to the next Sprint cohort.
- After the group session: no refund.
If I change the date
I may reschedule or cancel a Sprint, for example if the cohort is below its minimum size. If that happens, you can move to the new date or receive a full refund.
Continuing after the Sprint
At the end of the Sprint you may continue into Ongoing 1:1 Coaching (Section 3). Continuing is optional and requires a separate signup.
05Scheduling and communication
- Booking. You book 1:1 sessions through my Calendly, between 24 hours and six months ahead. Sessions are generally offered Tuesday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time, by phone or video. You are responsible for booking your sessions.
- Rescheduling. You can reschedule or cancel a session without penalty at any time before it starts. A session missed without any notice counts as used.
- If I need to reschedule, I will give as much notice as I can, and the session is not counted as used.
- Between sessions. You can reach me by text or email. I aim to respond within one business day (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific).
06Group sessions
This section covers the optional group calls for coaching clients and the Story Sprint group session.
- Other participants may see your name and email.
- What you share is up to you. Everyone in a group session agrees to keep what other participants share confidential.
- Group sessions are not recorded unless I tell participants in advance.
- Your 1:1 sessions stay private, regardless of anything shared in a group.
07Payments
- Payments are processed by Stripe. I never see or store your full card details.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and email you. Please update your card within seven days. Sessions may be paused until your account is current.
- Price changes. I will give current subscribers at least 30 days' notice before any change to their monthly price.
- Disputes. If you have a concern about a charge, please contact me first. I will work with you to resolve it promptly.
- Taxes and reimbursement. Coaching is often treated as professional development and may be reimbursable by an employer or tax-deductible. Check with your employer or tax advisor. I can provide receipts on request.
08Your workspace and materials
- Workspace. You get a private Notion workspace with session notes, summaries, and your work in progress. You can use it while your engagement is active. If I change platforms, I will give you at least seven days' notice so you can export anything you want to keep.
- What you create is yours. Your purpose statement, story, writing, and plans belong to you.
- My materials stay mine. My frameworks, worksheets, templates, and session materials remain my intellectual property. You may use them for your own development but may not resell, republish, or teach them as your own.
- Records. I may keep copies of session notes and materials as part of my professional records.
09Confidentiality and privacy
I keep what we discuss confidential, in line with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Code of Ethics. Coaching conversations are not legally privileged the way conversations with a therapist or lawyer are.
- Supervision. I may consult my own coach or mentor about my practice, or verify hours for ICF certification. I share only what is necessary, without identifying details.
- AI and software tools. I use tools including Notion, Calendly, Stripe, and AI assistants such as Claude to schedule, take payment, transcribe, summarize, and prepare for sessions. These tools may process your information, including your name, under their own security and privacy practices. I limit what I share with them to what the work needs.
- Stories and testimonials. I will not share your name or any identifying details of your story in marketing, writing, or workshops without your written permission. I may describe client work in anonymized form, with names and identifying details changed.
- Exceptions. Confidentiality does not cover information that is already public, that I knew before our work, or that I must disclose by law. It also does not apply where there is a risk of serious harm to you or others, or where illegal activity is involved.
10Responsibility, ending, and legal terms
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and results, during and after our work together.
- Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, Elliot Greenberger LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from coaching or coaching materials. Its total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
- If I end the engagement. I may end an engagement if I believe it is no longer a good fit or if these terms are not being followed. If I end it for any reason other than a breach of these terms, I will refund the unused portion of your current billing month or Sprint fee.
- Changes to these terms. I may update these terms. I will give current clients at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect. The version posted on my website is the current one.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
- Whole agreement. These terms, plus what is shown at checkout, are the full agreement between us. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
